What Is All The Fuss About ALgebra?
If two trains leave different stations heading towards each other at
different rates of speed, where do you need to be standing if you want
to watch the collision? Who cares? Well, if you’re riding
on the train, you might want to know the answer to this question, but
does anyone else really need to know the answer? And even if you
do care, how can you find the answer?
The easiest way to find the answer to the two trains problem is through
algebra. Algebra, the very name strikes terror in some
people. It sounds mysterious and foreign, and probably dredges up
painful memories of boring and tedious exercises.
But algebra is the basis of the higher mathematics and is essential to
engineering and science. But is it really necessary to learn
algebra in order to get a job? No, it isn’t necessary if don’t
mind working at menial tasks, but if you want to get a good paying job,
then a solid understanding of algebra is essential.

calculus and is essential for understanding engineering and
